Mr. Aplin's recent accomplishments include the negotiation of a large settlement in favor of a general contractor in a mechanic's lien dispute that resulted in the payment of the entire lien amount, plus attorney's fees. He also represented the owner of a retirement community wherein he successfully obtained summary judgment based upon a statute of limitations defense and recovered attorney's fees. In a real estate finder's fee dispute, Mr. Aplin negotiated a large settlement involving the sale of a 400-unit apartment complex.
In a recent trial victory, Mr. Aplin represented a commercial tenant in a high-end office building in Los Angeles. Mr. Aplin sued the landlord for breach of lease and prevailed, recovering damages and attorney's fees. In a personal injury action, Mr. Aplin represented a young girl who was hit by a truck on her way to school, suffering major head injuries. Mr. Aplin negotiated a large settlement with the driver's insurer.
